The Costa Maya Festival announced this week that it has confirmed international Puerto Rican reggaeton/urban music duo Angel y Khriz to highlight this year’s festival on Saturday, August 7, 2010. In keeping up with the times and providing entertainment with mass appeal, The Costa Maya Festival committee is putting together a modern festival that has a little bit of everything for everyone, setting a goal to top last year’s festival.

So once again Belize will be hosting the 19th Annual International Costa Maya Festival from August 5th - 8th, 2010, on the beautiful Island of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. The Costa Maya Festival stage lights up as local and international artists from all over the Americas merge to puts on a multicultural spectacle in Ambergris Caye for a celebratory week of dance, music, pageants, food and drink – celebrating our ancestral Mayan culture.

This year’s pageant, which opens the festival, La Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant seeks the participation of Panama. With this it will complete the participation of all the Central American countries in the pageant. All other eight countries (including Mexico) have confirmed their participation for this year.
